A Brief History Of The Dell Computer Company

Today in the world we live in you cannot go five minutes without picking up something that has a Dell ad on the cover of it. I mean really if you were to look everywhere they are advertising Dell like they are going out of business. I see them on the TV; they send you spam emails I mean if you were to think about it I think they are desperate for business even though they now own alien ware. That means that they will receive even less business. Dell to me is expensive like really, I was going to build a computer on the Dell website and I realized that I wasn't getting everything I wanted for $1500 so I was like there has got to be a better plan. So what I did was I got on Counterstrike and somebody had told me to go to Aeoncraft.com so when I went to that site and saw the prices I reported back to Dell with so much complaining about how they were ripping people off but instead they weren't they are just building different models.

Dell just came out recently in the last 10 years so most of the old timers probably do not know about Dell.

In the process of making the Dell Company they came upon a grand idea. They would set them up on a custom built basis, which means that whenever someone would order a computer, they would be made to their specifications. That means that you would be making your own computer when you wanted to buy a new computer from Dell. You would go on the Dell website and then just start building your computer to however you wanted it. If you wanted a gaming computer you could get it but it was going to be like $5000.

Dell Computer company started in 1984 which is earlier then I had thought and they have been trying to come up with a good computer ever since. They have made some good computers like the one I am working on now but I just prefer AMD over Intel any day. I don't know why I just like it better and just do not like the Dell computer cases. You have to almost break them to get into to them to do work on them. If you do not open it up at perfect angles you are going to snap your case of the sliders and then you will not have a good case for your CPU.

Even though Dell is doing good on business doesn't mean that I like their computers but I do have to say I like how long my computer has lasted from Dell so far. I just ordered it like I wanted because 4 years ago I didn't know anything about aeoncraft.com so now that I know about them I just go to them and do whatever it is that I do. I either buy computer hardware or nothing from them even though they have the best prices.

Do You Need To Upgrade Your Monitor? Maybe You Want To Upgrade Your Entire Computer

If you still have the same old computer monitor that you have had since you bought your first computer then you need to seriously upgrade. The newer models of computer screens that we have the choice to buy today are way better then any computer screens I have ever seen. They even have some computer screens that look like plasma TVs. You just need to get out and go get a new monitor for your computer so you can actually enjoy yourself and your computer. If you haven't upgraded your computer and monitor for like 5 to 8 years then you need to get a whole new setup because that old medieval computer is not going to help you today.

When you are looking for a new monitor for your computer you have a few new options and you still have the same old option, you can either buy an awesome new flat screen monitor for your computer or you can stay old school with your CRT screen. If you can not afford a good flat screen monitor then you can just get a newer version of your CRT. You can just go do that buy going online to EBay or going to some overstock site. If you do however want to spend the little bit of money that it takes to upgrade then I would do so because the new flat screen models are awesome. You should either get a Samsung or a Sony or something. There are many to choose from but only a few are cheap and actually worth the money. So you need to either go online or go to a local computer hardware shop.

LCD displays are having a serious impact on our computer world that we live in today. Liquid crystal displays or LCDs are a new form of computer screen that allows the user to see and work on the computer as if they were just watching the computer. The screens picture quality is so fine that you could stand back 20 feet and still either read what was on the screen or see at least what was on the screen. These types of new monitors are crazy good and will introduce you to a whole other world of computer business.

The other option you may have if you are millionaire is the option of having a plasma TV monitor for your computer. You can hook up TVs to computers in case that you didn't happen to know that already. Even though it wouldn't be for computers it would still look good. However I have heard that they have actually made a new plasma for computers so if you are wanting to figure that out you should go to best buy I am pretty sure that they have what you seek.

Some Simple Steps To Make Shopping For A New Laptop A Little Easier

Whenever you decide to buy computer, you need to take your time when deciding what you want to buy. A laptop is an item which potentially can be used anywhere from three to five years. You want to take your time in choosing one which will fit your lifestyle as well as your budget. This article will focus upon the three important factors anyone should think about when purchasing a laptop computer.

The first key when shopping for a laptop is to decide what you will use the laptop for. If you are a business professional, you may have greater demands for an upscale computer because you may need to have Microsoft Office Small Business edition with contact management software. If you're someone who only will get on the computer to surf the Internet and check your e-mail, you do not have the same needs as the business professional. Think about what you use a computer for now as well as what you may use it for in the future. A good example of this may be a student. If you have a high school senior in your household who only wants to get on the computer to surf the Internet, he or she is going to need a computer for a great deal more purposes next year if he or she goes to college. In that case you will want to purchase a computer with more capabilities because of the future needs. Your needs with a computer will dictate the speed of the internal processor along with the amount of memory you may need.

The second key is to determine what kind of price range you want to be in. If you have limited funds, it is not very smart to go out and buy the most expensive computer. Determine what you are able to pay and also look at what kind of financing some computer companies offer. This can be a way for you to stretch out your finances so that you can afford more computer if need be. If you have a limited budget, you may also want to think about a refurbished laptop. Often these will come with a warranty just as a new laptop would. The price will be less for this so that you can potentially get more computer for your money if you purchase refurbished. The key is to make sure you're not willing to compromise on what you want over price. There are so many options available with laptop manufactures these days that you can find one which will fit in your price range with what you want.

The final key is to make sure that you research, research, research. Take a look at Consumer Reports if possible. They will rate the best laptops and will often have lists showing the best in the inexpensive category. There are many different places you can find information from retail stores such as Best Buy to information on the Internet. Information will be your best friend when looking for the computer you want to buy.

Hopefully this article on the three keys to laptop shopping advice has given you food for thought. Deciding how you will use a computer along with the budget will give you parameters from which you can find the best computer for you. Be sure to give yourself enough time so that you can research to the best of your abilities to find the laptop for you.

How To Keep Dust From Destroying Your Computer

Remember the days when a computer room used to be the sanctum of pure air and a dust-free zone? All carpeted and air-conditioned? Today you have your computer in your den and your laptop lying on the floor. Does that mean that your computer is susceptible to malfunctioning? Yes, it is! Although computers today are better-built, saves power and generates less heat, still no computer is immune to dust and dirt. It is thus of paramount importance that you keep your computer clean in order to ensure that it functions properly.

What will dust cause?

Dust will affect the most important part of your computer; the fan that keeps your central processing unit CPU cool. Dust lodges itself on the fan blades and clogs it resulting into excessive heat generation. The fan then fails to cool the CPU which may eventually completely stop the working of the computer. A partially functioning fan due to dust clogging will make your computer work harder with less output but a definitely higher electricity bill. So yes, you would want to stay off the dust!

So what are the precautions?

You can follow these steps in order to clean dust from the fan of your computer. Keep the computer in a dust-free environment. Avoid smoking in front of your computer. Nicotine and tar residue harm the computer. Try dusting it very regularly and use a CPU cover if need be. Also it is a good idea to keep your computer in a cold environment. Even if air-conditioning is not possible, try keeping it away from the sun, or near open windows. That being said, do not keep your computer in a closed area either. This may heat up the CPU and make it work harder.

A casual dusting of the keyboard, the monitor or cleaning up the mouse will also help in the long run. Remember dust accumulates in the mouse ball and makes the mouse interactivities quite difficult.

However even after you have taken all the precautions, dust will still accumulate on the fan. There is no alternative to regular cleaning.

So how do you clean the fan?

Open up the back of your CPU. Use a can of compressed air and an anti-static cloth to clean the dust. Hold the can vertically and spray air such that dust is not sprayed on other parts of the CPU and the circuits. Now use the anti-static cloth to clean off the dust.

Do not attempt to use a vacuum cleaner as that might cause static electricity and may also draw in any loose wiring. Adopt a liquid free dusting method and do not use any oil-based cleansing agent.

If you are not comfortable with cleaning it yourself then drop it at a service center. It generally does not cost a fortune. To keep your computer running in a good condition and to give it a longer life, keep dust off your computer. Do not ignore the maintenance of your computer, even in the busy life find out time to clean your computer.

How to Easily Install Your New Computer Graphics Card

Installing a new video card isn't that hard at all I installed my new video card and I never knew anything about computer before I started playing games. Most people do not like installing their new video card and leave it up to a repair man or shop to install it, at the same time that I was installing my new video card I was also installing a new power supply and heat sink because the power supply that I had was only giving me 300 watts and the video card needed at least 350 watts to run. After that I just put the heat sink on too and that is the main thing that transfers heat from your computer and disperses it so I had to be very careful. That's just what I did and I didn't know anything about computers before I did all my own upgrades computers is simple really after you do some of the work yourself.

With someone knowing how to install a new video card it will only take about a whole 5 seconds to install the card itself but then you have to install the software that goes along with it which takes about 5 minutes. So the whole process is very quick and easy. You do not really need any tools other then a simple flathead or screw driver to unscrew the bolts from the video card as it will be attached the case of the computer.

All you do is turn off the computer, then open up your side of the case of the computer that opens, then you will see a set of chips there should be either 4 or 5 of them and your video/ graphics card will be the very first one on top. You will just want to unscrew the bolt from the side if there is one and slowly and gently pull it out of your interface. After that set the old one down and put the new video card in the same slot you pulled the old one out of. After that all you do is plug in the power supply if the video card takes one and then turn on the computer and start uploading the software for the video card. After all that is finished you should be ready to go to do anything you need to do or play with your new video card.

The whole installation is very easy and quick and doesn't take any time at all so do not go out and pay someone to do it for you. I thought about doing that but I wouldn't know everything I know today if I never would have done it myself so just do it yourself and you will be better off. It is the most simple thing that you can do its like putting in a DVD you just slide the video card into the slot and your done.

We all know criminals are out there, waiting to steal our information. All they want to do is run up the bill then leave you with the debt. Most of these thieves are very far away. The most common way for someone to steal your information is through a fake email and they usually say that there has been a problem with your account and needs attention and attention meaning your information.

Identifying these fake emails isn't hard, most of the time the person doesn't even have a credit card from which the company the thief is sending from. Then you can also right click on the link that they send you and even see if the website they sent is even real.

These criminals don't want you to see their website source they want you to click on the link so it will take you right to the site. Most of these sites are identical to the real credit card companies many use, therefore causing for many to steal your information as you type all your information in to the fake website.
